Does the screw have to be used or can I just remove it and plug it in to the GFI outlet?


I just installed one and took the screw out because I don’t have a standard outlet so there is no screw hole to use. If you are able to plug it into the gfci you will lose access to the test and reset buttons. But it is a simole matter of unplugging it to access the reset button.
