I want to use these cabinets for a home office and plan to store books and heavier items. Are these cabinets durable enough to hold that weight?

I am using them in a home office as well. I see no reason why the cabinets won't hold up to the same use as a kitchen, as they are designed for kitchen use. I used UPPER cabinets as my base cabinets, so they would take up less room in the already tight office space.

Thanks for your question. The weight limit on all load bearing surfaces is 15 lbs. per square foot which would include all cabinet floors, shelves, and drawers. Hope this helps! Thanks ~ Sherri

I wouldn't store heavy items in these. I did use large washers when anchoring them to the wall to keep the screws from pulling through the cabinet.
