Is it possible to swap the 18650 battery out? I have larger batteries I would be interested in using


Wrap duct tape around tailcap and body. Tighten stainless steel clamps over the tape. Use vise and pliers to twist off tailcap. worked fine for me.

The quick answer is yes; however, this will void the warranty and care must be taken if removing the tailcap. The battery was not intended to be removable so the tailcap is on extremely tight. The tailcap IS threaded on but it is on extremely tight. To access the battery, you would need to use a vise of some sort or have extremely manly hands. Turn the tailcap counterclockwise and it will unscrew and expose the battery. Replacing the tailcap is simply the same process in reverse. The 18650 rechargeable battery inside is high quality and is designed to last. Replacement batteries, if needed, are available from LUXPRO directly.
