What is its height and spread?

I have a dessert rose I bought 16 years ago. It was about 10 inches tall when I bought it and now it is at least 4 feet tall. I kept it inside in a sunny window the first 2 years and it did not bloom or grow. I was disappointed and put it out on the patio for the summer. It not only grew quite a bit but bloomed. I feed it about twice a year and raise the root ball almost every January while it is dormant. I keep it in a shallow put with a large diameter. I choose a pot that breathes (clay, wood). Right now it is in a small whiskey barrel type pot. It has gotten so large it is difficult to bring in doors in the winter. While inside, the leaves fall off but come back in the spring. It blooms every year and is very attractive.

It has the capability of achieving 4 feet tall and wide in its lifetime, but most folks see it stay around 2 feet tall and wide the first few years. ---Justin, Costa Farms Horticulturist
