Will these boxes handle books or would they be too heavy for this type box with handles?

My moving company website suggests 16" x 12" x 12" for Books/Records/Misc.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Books would probably be too heavy for this box, especially if you plan to use the cutout handles.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes I used them for books with duct tape.
Was this Answer Helpful ?They would be able to handle the books, but a full box this size would be pretty heavy.
Was this Answer Helpful ?We transported books in these boxes. The handle-cut-outs are not reinforced, so some extra packing tape across the box-ends above the cut-outs was necessary. They were not too heavy, but we used dollies for moving them out of our old building and into our new one. Some creative packing was necessary to ensure that the boxes were full to the top without distorting the shape. The side walls are not strong enough to handle stacking if the contents of the box do not completely fill the box.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Used for books without a problem. Did not use the handles since the boxes were full.
Was this Answer Helpful ?We are using these specifically to move teacher classrooms and they are handing books just fine.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes, they will handle books just fine.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Just right for books - size and handle slots.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The small boxes are suitable for books. Full of books the boxes get a little heavy; anything larger would be too big.
