Any brand of "bar chain oil" would work.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Kobalt has chain saw bar oil that you can purchase at Lowe's. I have found it to be comparable if not better than other bar oils. One caution, if you are new to using chain saws, they ALL leak the bar oil once you have finished using the saw. It's a common trait and results from the need of the saw to continually leak oil onto the chain while the saw is operating. If the system did not leak oil, the chain and bar would not get oiled and you'd end up ruining your saw. I have found that if I have a lot of oil in the reservoir, it is best to drain it into a clean container for use the next time. If there is little, or none, I place the saw over a shallow pan and let the oil leak out of its own accord. Regardless of how much oil remains, there will always be at least a small amount to drip and having the pan under the saw eliminates having an oily mess.
