Do you have to use the light kit or can does it come with a blank plate if lights are not desired?

Hello, this fan cannot be installed without the light kit. It was designed to use the light kit as part of its style. Please feel free to reach out to us at customercare@hunterfan.com or 1-888-830-1326 if you need any further assistance. ~Stacy
