Absolutely. I am no stark raving environmentalist, but I do believe in being responsible with waste products that may be toxic or hazardous. Batteries contain acid, and should be disposed of properly. Please recycle them.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Our county has a new waste disposal system. I called the county solid waste department and asked about how spent batteries should now be disposed of. Their reply was "If you don't have too many just put them in the garbage."
