I bought in Dec 2014.This is July and already my battery has quit charging. The batteries I guess don't hold up

Are you sure it is the batteries? It could be the charging pack

The battery life is dependent on your usage both time and type. If your driving 3' screws into decking all day you better have one in the charger as a backup, but if you are a typical homeowner and only use it occasionally it will last for weeks. I use mine a lot in my business and have to use my backup almost everyday. I had one battery give out in about a year, but because I use my Lowe's card I had a record of the purchase and took it to a local DeWalt service center, not Lowe's. with proof of the date of purchase they replaced it with a brand new battery at no cost to me. With DeWalt if the battery fails in 90 days or less the service center will give you a new battery the day you turn in the bad one with proof of purchase, but if it is more than 90 days DeWalt will replace the battery after the service center sends it back so there is a week or two wait for your replacement, but it is still no cost to you. There is a two year warranty on their batteries.

I have not had any problem with my batteries not charging but I've only had this a few months. I have had to only charge a few times so far.

You should have a year warranty on this battery--why won't they swap it out? There is no way this battery should have only lasted one month under normal working conditions. Take the tool back to lowes and ask to give it to the RTM clerk. They can handle your warranty work for you, but be advised there is a date code on the tool if you don't have proof of purchase so they will know if your tool is out of warranty. If they show its out of warranty or you damaged it (say dropped it in water), you'll be responsible for the charge to fix or replace. If it's not, they will help you out.
