Have not used craftsman 20v, but this has plenty of torque.

Was this Answer Helpful ?You better be ready to hold on, but it will drill a lot of torque.
Was this Answer Helpful ?There is a reason that other leading brands of tools (cordless drills) continue to score higher scores in testing than the Craftsman drills. Brands such as DeWalt and others leading brands are better tools. It doesn't take long researching comparison tests on the Internet and monthly publication magazines to learn that Craftsman tools typically rate lower in test results. I would retire your Craftsman drill and go with DeWalt or Bosch, or Porter Cable; I think you'll appreciate the differences and come to realize the truth in the testing data in a short amount of time.
Was this Answer Helpful ?It seems to have loads of torque, especially on the low-speed setting. I've used mine to secure several long screws into a fence and it works great for this.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The torque on this model is great at 20 volts although the 18 volt model fails to compare. This model is lightweight and compact.
