How many hours will the light stay lit?

It takes about 24 hours of full direct sunlight to charge the batteries for the first time. 72 hours of partial sunlight works as well. They usually will stay on for 4-6 hours.

one full day of sun is enough to light our patio all night long. I believe it suggests 24 hours for the first charge, but we were able to use it after only 4 hours in the sunlight. Ours is in partial sunlight, as the house covers it for the afternoon hours, and it still stays lit until the sun comes up the next day. it appears to be at full output the whole time, although it is not a really bright light... just more of a nightlight to light a pathway
