Can this be used to repair a crack in a fiberglass bathtub?

I don't know where all of the "will turn to putty" comments are coming from. Bondo putty and filler would "turn to putty" when exposed to water, however, this is epoxy resin. It will NOT turn to putty as it is 100% waterproof. Epoxy resin, along with fiberglass cloth and matting, is what a fiberglass boat is built with.

I used this product with the fiberglass cloth in my guest bathroom fiberglass tub, and it is still holding strong.

No, this putty dissolves and melts away into a powder when in contact with water. There are special tub bottom replacement kits with actual fiberglass just for that purpose.

I would think not. These are not compariable in physical make-up. The spackling compound, while perfect for wall repair, would likely be too brittle to hold up under the activity of a bathtub and I would not think it would adhere to fiberglass. In my experience, fiberglas repair involves fiberglass matting and fiberglass resin.
