Correct. I carry it with one arm and I have never owned a weed-eater that I could carry with one arm, nor use with such ease. I am not sore after using this and I have a huge ditch that cannot be cut with a push mower or riding. I trim the sidewalk and driveway and then around the house as needed and around my building and along the outer edge of the yard that I may have missed when mowing. I have had mail from the mailbox that is heavier than this tool. Must buy!

The battery is small. It does not change the overall weight so much as it is like a counter weight when installed to balance out the weeder for use.
