If you put the edger guard down and use it up against the fence the trimmer works excellent!

Was this Answer Helpful ?Works like any other string trimmer around wire fences- Hold the trimmer so only the tip of the string is near the wire. I have 6 acres, completely fenced with wire - trimmed both sides of the fence.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The Weed Eater doesn't go around wire fences as you may think, the strings flex around the wire but only to a certain point. It is best to angle the cutter head so the string goes under the fence to keep the string from wearing down too quickly from beating on the wire.
