BLACK+DECKER 40-volt max 13.0-in Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer Edger Conversion Capable 2.4 Ah (Battery Included) (Charger Included)
how long does it take battery for a full charge and how long for discharge?

About 2 hrs to charge. Discharge depends on what strength you use, 1-6. For the tougher jobs I've been doing, at 4-6, about 1/2 hr average.

Was this Answer Helpful ?The Manual that came with the B&D 36 volt Cordless String Trimmer says 8 hour recharge time, but I have recharged 2 batteries in less than an hour each (one battery was completely discharged). The String Trimmer discharge on #6 power setting (max power) discharged in approx. 20 minutes. I have not yet used it on a lower power setting, but it should last much longer.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Recharging is averaging about an hour. With the trimmer set to minimum power (really all you need for an average yard) the battery is discharged in about 20 minutes of continuous use.
Was this Answer Helpful ?It took about an hour for the first charge. On the lower settings it lasts about 30 - 45 minutes and the charge will only take about 20 - 30 minutes if not fully discharged.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Full charge takes less than 1 hour. Discharge time depends on the which speed you run it on. I never timed my discharge times, because I got tired before the battery ran out.
Was this Answer Helpful ?after the battery has cooled down, 1.5 hr
Was this Answer Helpful ?So far the 36 volt batter recharges in a little less than one hour. I have never let the battery run down to zero but after 20 minutes of continuous use at a setting of 5 &1 / 2 the push button indicator indicates no charge so I have been charging it at this point.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Ours reaches full charge in just over 2 hours. It lasts for a solid 25 minutes. This is a much better trimmer than some reviewers give it credit for.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Any battery will last as to how you are using , if you are at full power , meaning trigger pulled in all the way cutting thick grass , edging for the first time it will only last about 1/2 the full power. Which means if it's rated for 6 hours you'll run about 3 hours. hitting a fence while edging also will take more use of the battery. always start with a full charged battery. Most battery's you can leave on the charger all the time, NOTE it will say in the instruction book if it can stay on the charger, also should explain about the battery life. I hope i answered your guestion, bruce455
