Does this B&D 36 v trimmer come with string or should I buy some with it?

It comes with a spool so you can use it after charging the battery and doing the minimal assembly required. I've tackled weeds in my yard for a good 8 hours worth and still have plenty of line left over!
Was this Answer Helpful ?It comes with a VERY short line, so yes, you must purchase additional spools. Lowes sells a 3 pack for around $18. Check with a store associate for the correct spool.

Was this Answer Helpful ?There is some cord in it, but stock up when you purchase. There is no worse feeling than running out of cord during a trimming marathon in the wee hours of the morning.
Was this Answer Helpful ?String trimmers normally have at least 1/2 spool of line installed, I would recommend you purchase a separate roll of bulk replacement string that way you have extra. .080 diameter is usually the norm and can be used with any string trimmer. You can purchase it when you buy the trimmer from Lowe's.
