Black & Decker used to be American made, but with global manufacturing the way it is, many of their parts could be made anywhere and assembled here, which would carry a label stating "Assembled In USA", not Made IN USA. Even their website makes no mention of where their products are made. The best thing I can tell you is to go to your local Lowe's store and examine the tool it's self and check the label on it.
