Can these just butt up against each other? Is grout needed?


You should never butt any tile against each other. You must always leave, at the minimum @ 1/8” grout joint, due to expansion. There will always be some expansion and contraction due to many different factors.

you need at least 1/8 in grout between tiles.

we did the 7/16 of a grout line and added Grout Boost. Very durable and would install the same way.
