Valspar Duramax Flat Blizzard Fog 7006-18 Latex Exterior Paint + Primer ( 5-gallon )
Can I use a paint sprayer for Valspar Duramax exterior latex flat base paint, if yes which one you can recommend? Thank you.

Duramax can be sprayed like any other paint. The sprayer you use depends on your needs. Check with paint department at Lowe's.

Was this Answer Helpful ?I tried with a 3/4 hp. sprayer, it couldn't spray more than 20 seconds before the pressure dropped too low to atomize the paint... then it would take about half a minute to build enough pressure to spray for another 20 seconds... needless to say this was a waste of time. The instructions don't recommend thinning so I resorted to a roller and brush, which worked great. I would think it would take a 1 hp or 1.5 hp sprayer to spray this pain un-thinned.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I bought the Graco LX17 from Lowes and thinned the paint out a little more then they told me too. The sprayer cost $399.00 plus I bought two more spray heads $24 and an extension spray rod. Well worth it. So far I have painted 21 gallons with very few clogs. They have a reversible declogging head on them too. I also keep a toothbrush in a small Folger's coffee can of water. When I take a break or every so often I scrub the tip. The video is great, so make sure you watch. I feel like a pro now.

Was this Answer Helpful ? Only commerical grade sprayers with tip sizes 21 or larger could handle this type of paint. It is NOT recommended to thin this type of paint.
Was this Answer Helpful ?You can. I did this weekend. Depending on your sprayer (quality), you may have to add a pinch of water to your sprayer. I added a pinch and it worked well. Still only had to use one coat.
