can you paint this product on treated wood if so do I need to prime it first


When using Valspar Duramax on a wood surface we recommend spot priming knots with Valspar Bonding Primer or Valspar Exterior Oil Primer. Then, countersink nails and prime the entire wood surface with Valspar Exterior Latex Primer or, if you are dealing with an extractive wood slight discoloration is typical. A second coat of primer my be necessary if the discoloration is extreme.
