Meh
It’s convenient to lightly maintain but this isn’t doing any heavy lifting. The vacuum seems confused and gets stuck on things all the time. When I send it home it wanders the house for a while. The receptacle that holds the vacuumed stuff is tiny so it needs to be emptied often.

Dead out of the box
I had high hopes for the Roomba iRobot Combo Essentials but it was DOA! I plugged it up and let it charge for 48 hours before I attempted to get connected and start using it. All it did was make the music sound and kick itself off the dock 2 inches and that was it - no other movement. I trouble shot, relocated it to different locations in the house and finally called Support 866-747-6268 - waited for 30 minutes before someone picked up the line to assist. Best to buy on sale
The roomba is rather effective for such a small vacuum. I have yet to use the mop feature but I'd use the term "nop" loosely. It's designed to drag around a moistened microfiber attached with hook and loop on the bottom and a small water reservoir. I am discouraged it's another automated hosue vaccum requiring internet connection and a separate app to control. Another thing to log in too and a another device on your wifi network. The roomba has yet to return to the doc station, even with some do...

Mine did not work
Only moved a couple of inches then stopped. Didn’t even make it alway off the base. Moved it to different locations, unplugged the battery pack and still nothing. I see why it was on sale.

IRobot Would Not Charge
The battery would not take a charge. I am returning the IRobot today. According to the online troubleshooting guides the battery was dead. I called IRobot Customer Service and after 30 minutes on the phone could not resolve the problem with the foreign representative.
