I have tested this device for 7 weeks using a cleaning schedule 2 or 3 times a week. During that time I was bouncing my review between 2 and 4 stars. I have settled on 2 stars. I was hoping to purchase one of these for my elderly mother who has a hard time vacuuming. I thought I would get one for myself to see how it could work for her. I got my Roomba as a Christmas gift. This is now my favorite Christmas present ever! I would never have considered buying a Roomba myself due to the cost, but now that I have one, I have to say, it's worth the money. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. This is not toy or a gag

The Most Advanced Robotic Vacuum I've seen

The Roomba 960 has been one of the most worth-it purchases I've made. It does a great job cleaning carpets. Can't live without my Roomba

I love my Roomba, with a few caveats. In the plus column, I no longer worry about dust bunnies and pet hair on the floor. I have two dogs and two cats and Jeeves has simplified keeping my house clean. The dirt container is about the right size; I have to empty it daily but it's usually okay for the full cleaning. Works on about every surface!

This vacuum has been a huge help. While it is a bit pricey and the bin fills up quick, it definitely makes a noticeable difference. My house is only 1000 sq ft, however it is entirely floored with natural slate that has large, uneven mortar lines.
