Great Starter Laser

I got the Glowforge Aura as one of my first lasers, and I’m so glad I did. It’s the perfect entry-level machine, especially because I mainly work with paper, and the precision is incredible. Intricate cuts that used to take forever by hand now take just minutes, and they come out perfect every time. It’s been such a fun way to level up my crafting without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re into paper crafts and thinking about a laser, this is a great place to start!

Mostly plastic, no customer care, not recommended

I purchased an expensive glowforge aura $1,200 + $399 glowforge aura filter at the Vacaville, CA Michael's Store on Feb 27, 2024.  I didn't know at the time it requires a $40/month subscription to glowforge's software otherwise many standard features available to other laser machine owners can't be used, such as cutting shapes, text, and other basic options like the ability to import and export files in the design software.  This was NOT ADVERTISED. Love My New Glowforge

I recently purchased the Glowforge Aura. It was really easy to set up, create an account, and join to my wifi. In minutes I was up and running! After a couple of test prints, I was able to use the software to create this cool dog paw print key chain -- engrave and cut settings. It was so easy. I think it turned out awesome.

I love what the Aura has done for my crafting!

I've been using a Cricut for years, which I've loved for basic decals and t-shirt designs. Then I finally took the plunge and got the Aura, and suddenly I have a whole new world of projects I can do! I've been making wood and acrylic jewelry (note that it doesn't cut clear acrylic, so you have to stick with solid colors), engraving coasters and cutting boards, and even made a leather purse from a design in their catalog! And best of all - no more sticky matts 😅
