Not well made
The controller feels cheap and is garbage. I have had this thing for two months and it started running continuously at 3 AM for no reason. I called support and they told me to return it...No redress for the time spent taking it out and replacing it. They steered me away from replacement parts which makes me think this is a known bad design or the support rep was too lazy to possibly have to send out multiple parts. Will happily buy a competitor with my refund.
Dead controller
Straight out of the box the controller flashed the battery light and would not run the pump. After setting up the app I saw the battery voltage reported as ~7.5V. I traced the issue to D37 clamping the voltage to the ADC to ~0.7V. Given the divider R42 (100k) and R45 (10k) I would expect this to be about 1.1V. Given the markings on D37 (05C) and its characteristics. I assume it is a PSOT05C or something similar. I fail to see how this could work in this application since the anode is connected...

Battery not included
This product does not come with a battery And the descriptions, etc. is true. Peace of mind with a 24/7 monitoring of a back up sump pump and battery but note there is no battery that comes with this product.
Fail-Safe
My orginal 1/3 hp sump pump became unplugged and my basement flooded. I spent 3 days cleaning up and drying everything before any mold had a chance to set in. I bought the Zoeller backup sump pump model SBTT200 to prevent any reoccurance. I’ve tested it several times and it works perfectly. Here’s what I learned: 1.
