I bought this harness for my cat who loves to watch birds. We went outside to give it a "test drive" after using it in the house for a bit. In about just 5 minutes and while I was holding onto the leash, my cat Houdini'ed out of the harness very swiftly. It seems like the harness should be escape proof since it can fits a medium size cat nice and snugly and can be adjusted to be nice and tight under their arms. Great harness for a bigger cat
