Powerful, bult like a tank and easily maintained.

I love this thing! All-metal construction. Chips branches the thickness of a closet rod without slowing down. Would probably chip a baseball bat if the wood was soft. Easily maintained - a single 13mm socket opens everything you would need to access.

3 inches is a burden

If you put a limb that is even close to 3 inches in the wood chipper, it dies. Smaller limbs dont not always auto feed and get jammed up. Other times, it will yank the limb out of your hands.

Omg awful

I was given a rebuilt machine. How do I know? Gas tank smelled of gas, spark plug was injured, wheels were crooked. Yardmax did not return my calls or emails. As a result, the wheels don't turn - it has to be dragged. The engine has to keep the choke on, so the machine clogs and struggles with large branches. Such a shame because otherwise this machine would kick butt. Starting is not much of a hassle. Make sure the red fuel switch is horizontal. Adding oil is annoying. Either tip the machine...

Doesn't work at all

Don't waste your money. It starts and runs, but when you put a tree branch in it to chip it, the motor bogs down and dies out.

The side mulcher makes the wood into fine mulch great for putting it around plants

Awesome chipper

Easy to set up and get going. Very powerful. Made quick work of the branches that fell in a recent storm. Great for adding to my compost pile.

YW6065

The throw back guard on hopper does not stand out to prevent chips from coming back out when you put larger limbs in shoot. Assembly was quick and easy. Oil fill and check behind limb shoot, needs to be more accessible.

Lots of power

It was pretty quick assembly, but would've been easier in a couple sections with two people. It has more than enough power to chew through a 3" limb. It tore through the large pile of brush I had with very little effort on it's part. Most of what was in the bag was already small enough to turn into compost. The only reason I am giving this 4stars instead of 5 is the design of the large hopper for small branches and leaves can throw chunks at a pretty good clip right back at you. The rubber ...
