I bought this because I found out after the fact that the xtendandclimb ladder damages interior walls. People have pointed out that the ladder marks up walls, but it doesn't just leave a mark, it leaves two divots everywhere the top of the ladder rests against the wall. I didn't have that experience on exterior walls. Although it seems like it will stay put, I used a couple of zipties to secure it on the ladder.
