For your woodpeckers! No starlings or grackles!

Wood splinters
Although this feeder does do the job, I didn't like that when I put in the suet cakes that I would get small splinters from the wood. I would recommend getting the recycled plastic ones. They cost more but I see them lasting a much longer time.
Pesky Grackles
While this suet feeder is nicely constructed, it didn’t stop the grackles from feeding off of it. Even though it’s an upside down suet feeder and I have it hanging from a tree branch, the grackles can fly up to it, hang upside down, grab a bite of the suet, and fly off. They’ll have the suet devoured within a day. My only option now is to take the feeders down for several weeks in hopes they’ll move on to another area.

Very well made.
This is very well made, however, the woodpeckers haven't figured this one out yet. We have a suet feeder up for thwm, and so far they prefer it to this one.
