Remember when you had versatility and power all in the palm of your hand. Do you fancy chamfers and v-grooves or are you partial towards rabbets and dados. We won’t judge. That’ll just be between you and your router. Make intricate patterns in both the exterior and interior of your workpieces with the WEN Trim Router. This versatile machine features a variable-speed 6-amp motor, providing speeds from 12,000 to 30,000 rotations per minute. The 1/4-inch collet allows for compatibility with a wide variety of 1/4-inch-shank bits. Our soft startup design prevents damage to your workpiece and lengthens the tool’s lifespan. The adjustable locking straight base can be adjusted up to 1-5/8 inches up and down, allowing users to create gradual passes that slowly increase in depth. The straight base also features a transparent base plate for maximum vision to your line of cut during operation. The included guide fence attaches easily for routing perfectly straight lines, helping to create dadoes and grooves along the workpiece. Swap on the trim guide for maintaining an equal cutting distance along the edges of irregularly shaped workpieces. And, because it’s a WEN product, your woodworking router comes backed by a two-year warranty, a stocked inventory of replacement parts, and a friendly customer help line. Remember when you stepped your carpentry up a notch. Remember WEN.

It's light to use.

Would Recommend

I thought this would be a good first router for me to learn with. It is light, but the instructions weren't great for a first timer. I tried to go online to the Websight but didn't find anything matching the router. I'm practicing on some scrap before using it for the project I wanted it for.

Not a Wen

Would Not Recommend

Very disappointed with this router because I have a few Wen tools and they all seem decent at an affordable price; however, this one is pure junk. After getting the router out of the box, I tested the depth adjustment knob since it looked like a cheap piece of plastic. Exactly as I suspected as the depth adjustment knob would not even move the depth up and down at all. The only way to move it was to pull on it very hard which defeats the purpose of making micro adjustments when needed. As always...

Ensure hardware quality.

The screws holding the clear plastic base protector were excessively tight. While attempting to remove them I stripped out two of the Phillips heads. Also, the collet would not easily accept 1/4” router bits.

Does the job

Would Recommend

Purchased product due to pricing and the limited amount of times that I planned to use. Bought other products before with success so gave this a chance. So far has met expectations for price and functions.
