Our 224cc engine operates at a modest 62 decibels at quarter load. This limits its invasiveness while camping, hunting, tailgating, and restoring backup power. The WEN 4800W Inverter Generator is also equipped with fuel shutoff. This feature turns off the flow of fuel, allowing for the generator to use up the remaining fuel from the carburetor before automatically shutting down. This helps fight the build-up and blockages caused by stagnant fuel inside of the carburetor, minimizing maintenance while prolonging the unit’s lifespan. Designed to mirror a pure sine wave, this generator limits total harmonic distortion to under 0.3 percent at no load and under 1.2 percent at full load, making it safe to run laptops, cellphones, monitors, tablets and other sensitive electronics. The built-in wheels and telescoping handle make for easy portability while the ultra-efficient 1.9-gallon tank provides up to 7 hours of half-load run time (or 20 hours half-load run time on a 20-pound LPG tank). The fully-packed panel comes equipped with four three-prong 120V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, one 12V DC receptacle, one 120V TT-30R RV receptacle, and two 5V USB ports. Maximize fuel economy by engaging the eco-mode switch. Works Good, but Still Need a Soft Start for 13.5k btu AC in Travel Trailer. I should have tried the DF680ix instead. This one does well enough for a 30 amp RV, although AC, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker at the same time is a no-go. The next model up might do it and might start the AC up without adding a soft start device, but it is also heavier than this one. I got this to run the RV, but the weekend it arrived we had a tornado come through. The power was knocked out for 3 1/2 days. My WEN GEN started up and ran great. Really came in handy. Very satisfied.

The generator is good quality, and just about as I expected, it is very suitable for my purposes. However, fair warning for those who are considering purchasing this generator: the generator comes with a carburetor jetted for use below 3,000 ft altitude. If you need to use it above 3,000 ft, you'll need a different jet, depending on your actual altitude. The jet itself is available from the WEN website, for a few dollars. It's worth the money but falls short of advertised
Pros: light weight for the power output. Fuel lasts longer than advertised in my experience. Cons: about 20 decibels louder than advertised. I used my decibel meter it's never under 80 decibels ever. Which is pretty loud. Does not include a neutral to ground connector and you have to either buy one, ground it with a rod which is ridiculous or make one yourself which is easy and cheap so it makes no sense that they couldnt have sold that included. Should always be included in generators that aren...

Quiet power for emergency home backup.
The generator started up on propane without need for the recoil starter and was about as quiet as I had hoped. It is small and easily moved around. It ran my refrigerator, two desktop computers with multiple monitors, and a large LCD TV with sound system while remaining on the lowest output indication (25%). A coffee maker or microwave bumped it up to 75%. It is very easy to setup and use.
