Valspar 6-Pack Flat Nautical Spray Paint and Primer In One (NET WT. 12-oz)

AWFUL

So I bought this to do a small project. The can says it will work on plastic. The plastic is porous. Yeah, no! It chips off horribly and sticks to anything I set it on. This project has turned into a nightmare thanks to this garabage. I do no reommend and thanks to this experience, I will never purchase Valspar products ever again. My mom started a more difficult project on a questionable surface days after I did and hers was complete in 2 days. I'm on a week trying to touch up this garb...

Goes on and looks great

I bought 4 cans of Color Radiance "Flat", perhaps; VAL86001 Flat Black, months ago for painting wheels for my car. While cleaning and prepping the wheels I didn't notice one was bent until I was nearly done painting that last bent wheel. The paint looks great but when I went back to Lowe's for a spare can or two or three...they no longer have it. I have two spare wheels I hoped to paint with the same paint so they all match when I replace the bent wheel for one of my newly painted spare wheels.....

A+ Color; D- Cans

Firstly, let me say that I enjoy Valspar's paint generally. I think, typically, it's a pretty decent price, covers very well, and the color selection is great. Unfortunately, though, there have been a few times where the paint had clogged on me, seemingly internally. thought i had finally found a great product. sprayed smooth with no spray clumps from those awful valves of other brands. Loved this product as many others did and was also extremely disappointed when i went to purchase this product again and after not being able to find it in any stores or online found out it was discontinued. now i have half finish items that i will have to spend more money on to redo them and hopefully layering a different brand will not cause peeling, cracking or ruin my ite...

Repaint Fail

I painted a vintage rocking chair. After waiting 24 hours, I noticed the black flat paint I used rubs off with ease. I dry paper towel can wipe away the finish. I can not sit in this chair at all. I will continue to wait for the "curing" to complete, however I am afraid my chair has been rendered useless at this point. I am hoping I can cover it with a more durable paint. I am afraid I may have to sand to remove the Valspar paint and reapply another brand. Valspar is typically my pain...

Excellent product

I bought this product from Lowe's to hide a glue repair done to a large photo frame. It worked beautifully with a smooth surface and even coverage. I had some leftover and today used it to repurpose and give some color to a wicker basket that will hold beach towels. The basket needs a 2nd coat and sadly, I cannot find this product anywhere anymore! Such a great product, I don't understand why it would be discontinued. Will now have to start over with an inferior product.

really tough

I used satin sumptuous purple YEARS ago on a couple of plastic beach chairs hoping to get maybe another season of use out of them. But the color has lasted about 5 years! These are out by the pool every day all year in the south Florida sun, and with the weather they now look like purple velvet. BUT! I wanted to stock up on more of this paint for when they need another coat, and I CAN'T FIND IT!! BUMMER!

Spray button hard to use

I bought this in flat black today and just finished my project. Love the coverage. Love the color however the flat seems a little glossier than flat. What I hated and is a deal breaker for me is the spray button. The can says "comfort spray fights finger fatigue" WRONG! I had to use one finger from both hands to push the button down. Bought three cans used 1 1/2 cans on an endtable after priming. Third can getting rerurned. Anxious to see how it looks and holds up

Nice color selection, BUT

I bought this spray paint because I liked the color selection in the Valspar line. Unfortunately I probably won't get it again because the sprayer is just too hard to use. I like the locking twist top, but pushing the button is ridiculously hard to do and I have trouble getting a smooth spray. Honestly, I can barely push it down. It also takes longer to dry than the paint I usually buy.
