Chalk Markers....

Regarding your Valspar Black Chalkboard Paint.....It would be nice you guys put an warning label in the can or inform your retailer that you "shouldn't use chalk markers on this since they are made for REAL CHALKBOARD". As stated in a previews review 2yrs ago. Tried to clean off but still see then old lettering. Be honest now I have to resurface and tape to reply the chalk paint and do this again and use regular chalk. Something that we did not want to use.

Valspar Signature

I bought this paint to make a chalk board wall with and 3 coats of this interior paint does the same thing and washes great with a wet towel. Have done two bedrooms this way with no Issues.

Not Happy So Far.

I have applied a coat over a Smooth Laminate surface on cabinet doors. It was allowed to dry 24 hrs. It now peels off with the slightest scrape. I did clean the surface very well. Does this NOT work over laminate? Will a second coat work if the first coat peels

C'mon man!

Please excuse me, English is my first language. Somehow I misunderstood the 'no drip, flawless spray!' I thought that meant it would come out smoothly and evenly, not like I was placing a rubber bedliner in my truck. I destroyed a project that I was working on because of this inferior product. Wasted money and time

I have used Valspar paint in every room in my house and loved it. This spray paint is far from any paint I have ever used. The gummy like stuff spews out of the nozzle in all directions making it impossible to make a smooth pass across the wood. What comes out are clumps of goo and overspray all over the place. Went on rough! had to sand it off and went back and got the role on version. It worked great.

Paint did not work for me

I bought a spray can of this chalkboard paint (68007 Black) to paint a small children's folding table top. The finish is rough. The spray dripped and clumped. I will have to sand this off and repaint with something different. It was applied on a wood surface with several days and fine sanding between coats. The final coat was applied out side with a temperature of 86 degrees at 38% RH. The can was shaken several times and the nozzle wiped clean. Still had poor quality spray and clumps/blobs of ...

DO NOT BUY!!!!!

The worst spray paint I have ever used. Anyone who gives this junk 5 stars has either been given it for free for lying. It sprays chunks not a mist which makes it useless for a writing surface. Now I have to hope I can return it and buy brush on paint. Notice there are no in between ratings either 5 star from Valspars website or 1 star from people who have actually used it.

New Formula is Garbage. Brushes off once dry.

Not sure what they changed but this stuff is terrible now. It literally is black dust in a can and brushed right off, no matter how many coats. Splatters all over. No wonder it was so cheap.

AWFUL!

Stay clear of this product at all costs. The paint drips and splatters out of the can making a huge mess all over your project. Worst spray paint coverage I have ever seen. Save yourself time and trouble by just using the brush on chalkboard paint.
