This is my initial review while setting up

Takes a long time to setup. Waiting, waiting, waiting. I installed the app and was going through the initial setup. It asked if this is a "first time". Well, it IS for me, but there was a previous homeowner. After a long wait, maybe 10 minutes, I think it gave up. So I started over. Went through the gateway setup again (actually 3rd time) and it is now detecting existing devices. Waiting, waiting, waiting again. 10 minutes have passed. Still waiting. I don't think it's going to locat...

Difficult to set up

Velux Active setup is not clear, because a registration bar makes it appear that it is never finished searching for components. Once I learned to ignore the registration bar, things went more quickly. I will have to call customer service to see why it can't find the skylights. It was able to find all three Velux Active components and two blinds.

Junk

What a disappointment. Very difficult to connect to my network and it is often offline. The controls are clumsy when it does work. Saw a developer response from TWO YEARS AGO where they promised Alexa integration. Still waiting. Lastly, how about making a remote switch in a standard decora profile so we can mount it like a normal switch instead of the goofy design? Bottom line, find another brand.

Love this app

I had four 35 year old skylights replaced. I chose the solar light filtering shades to control the amount of light coming through. This app is fabulous! I can be anywhere and open or close the shades. If I'm out and about and the sun decides to come out, I can simply open all the shades at the same time! It was quite easy to set up the shades in the app. What would be nice if the app contained a schedule so you could set a time for them to open and close.

Must have for solar powered skylight

The remotes included with the VSS skylights are great, but this kit really unlocks the potential of the skylights. Spend the money to buy this, you won’t regret it

What a Disappointment

So you want to simply control your velux blinds by voice but this product is not compatible with the #1 voice controller (Amazon Alexa). This product is full of features which for me are useless. I just want to be able to control by sklyights and blinds by voice. The only redeeming feature is that you can use your smart phone which is a big improvement over the KLR 200. The KLR 200 often locks up and is so non-responsive that using the phone is much better.
