good design, bad product
I've bought two of these over the last 3 years, because my old Rival Titan has worked for 20 years and has the same design. Both of these had/have bad overheat sensors and turn off in less than a minute. For that minute the heat is good. You cannot replace the bi-metal switch, and I am reluctant to bypass it. I will be using it for spare parts for the Rival or the other similar heaters I have. All of which work fine and are used to heat a 16'X20' insulated shop. The fan motors gum up and give ou...
LOW COST HEATER
I've used this design for years and like the way it works. LOWE"S always keeps the price at a reasonable level. I heat my well/pump house and have never had a frozen/broken pipe.

Wonderful Product
This product is fantastic, I've had this heater for almost a year now and it still works like it did when it was new. Heats well, minimum noise, perfect for small to medium/large rooms.

ODD! BOUGHT ONE THRU WAL-MART A FEW MONTHS PRIOR TO THE ONE THRU LOWE'S. THE WAL-MART ONE PUTS OUT 15 DEGREES F MORE THAN LOWE'S. 125 F vs 110 F. THEY HAVE DIFFERENT BRAND NAMES, BUT ARE IDENTICAL IN DESIGN AND CONTROLS. JUST MY LUCK, MOST LIKELY.

I'm so tired of returning these heaters
I'm just trashing them now. Please save your $20.00 and put it towards a decent unit. The bi-metal thermostats are totally under sizied and even with the safety, these things spark a lot.
It did the job
We used in construction site. and it really did the great job.

Small Space Heater
It heats a small area OK but it makes a lot of "white" noise- like standing alongside an airstrip as a Cessna takes off. Its all metal construction makes it durable if the motor and electrical coils hold out. It wouldn't be suitable for a big room or extremely cold conditions. The low price makes it worth the money in the right application. Uses 1300 or 1500 watts as you select.
I bought 4 of these.
Yep that's right, I bought 4. Gave one to my son, gave one to my daughter and I kept the other 2. I am very cold natured [grrr...] so if a heater does not work well, I am not happy. 2 of them worked very well, the other 2 were did not put out as much heat. I have no idea why this was the case. Because my kids are not as cold natured at I am, those two I gave to them, and they are very happy with them. The two I kept work very well, and supply a lot of heat. AND, Every year I used to buy heaters....
using it what its made for
this is not a room heater as people think, its a milk house /well house heater ( 8x8 space ) and we use this for keeping the well house from freezing in the midwest winters , the building for our well is 8x8x8 and its in the wind and uninsulated , these heaters will keep the building at a 50-75 * temp range depending on the outside tempature ( has been as low as -20 and the heater kept it at 50* ) , its not made to heat a large space like a bedroom or garage , and it takes a while ( about a hour...
Excellent value
This heater has a feature that wasn't mentioned on the website; automatically turns off when tipped over.
