I installed 6 of these garage shop lights about a year ago and was in love with them until our electricity went off and came back on. Result: Components fried in Five units; one survivor.

Fool Me Once Fool Me Twice
Dang it, should have learned my lesson the first time all 4 went out. Replace all four and a year later, power surge. Light stopped working........ Complete waste of money. I do not recommend buying this product and Lowes should discontinue it.

Should have read the reviews
Had two hooked together. Nothing else on circuit. Blew out after 1 year for no apparent reason. Only one was on but the other was also blown. Wish I had read the reviews. Not obvious how to get exercise warranty claim.

Shop light; sort of.
The light pattern is more direct; straight down. You would need more of these than would be expected to cover a wider area; like a garage. It was on a clearance price and worth every bit of the price. Full price which was listed as a $40 light definitely not worth the price. If you see it on clearance i would recommend it.

They don't last!
The first time I bought this light I had it up for two days before there was a brief power outage and they died. It died and I was able to exchange it for another one. Less than a year later I'm in the garage and once again the lights FLICKER and what do you know, it's dead... These things are fragile junk that should not be sold!

Weak,expensive, useless throwaways
Were used one season, then early the second season we had a power outage. When the power came back on, they were the only lights in the house that didnt come back on...blew out. They were on a new, good surge protector with other conventional fluorescent and other-brand LED light fixtures for seed starting, and were the only ones that were destroyed when power came back on. Even heard a "snap" when it happened. Three at once, all dead. Manufacturer obviously didnt make them capable enough to sur...
