This relay was a great replacement for two old switches decades old. The instructions could have been better but eventually figured it out. I appreciate the led lights on it!

Nice modern upgrade for an old boiler!

This is a nice modern pump relay that replaced an antique Honeywell unit. The price was lower than comparable models from other brands. Installation was easy for a DIY-capable homeowner with electrical experience, and I really like that it has both a green power light and a red one that shows when the thermostat is calling for heat. If you happen to buy a model with multiple zones, they have separate LEDs for each zone. The documentation was good, and wiring was as easy as matching up the power...

Works as described

I purchased the Taco SR501 so we could use a standard smart thermostat with our boiler. This device provided 24 volt common power and control replacing our 120v line thermostat. Works great, and we now have control of the boiler remotely and easier control of our schedules when paired with a smart Honeywell transformer. Plan to purchase a second one for our chiller.

poor quality inspection

installed, applied power and the green LED was not on. Rechecked all connnections and Green LED still no ton. Found _ with a looking glass - one of the 2 leeds to the LED broken. Arghh

Taco is Better than Honeywell

I prefer this relay over similar Honeywell models as it offers indicator lights to tell when thermostat calls for heat. Also offers a C wire (common wire) connection necessary to power all connected / smart thermostats with WiFi or others wireless connectivity.
