Tekton 1/4 inch drive ratchets have a 90-tooth gear that produces a working swing arc of 4 degrees. Our low-profile head is reduced in every dimension: height, width, and length to increase access. The classic non-quick-release drive tang retains sockets with a spring-actuated detent ball—push the sockets onto the ratchet and pull to remove them. This release style gives the ratchet a flat back without any protruding release lever for best clearance. The sleek handle has a finger groove with pronounced interior edges for traction and control for any hand placement. Tekton ratchets meet (and most far exceed) the industry standard for proof torque, a measure of strength verified by a single-cycle test that applies torque until the specified value is reached without failure or any permanent deformation. The spinner handle is made of a 6.5 inch steel extension that runs all the way through an aluminum handle and is permanently pressed in place. The tri-lobe shape feels secure in your hand and keeps it from rolling on surfaces, while the rounded knurled sections make it easy to spin quickly. The exposed shank is 2.5 inches long, and the square drive in the end of the handle lets you add a ratchet for more leverage.
