What Customers Are Saying
The PVC cutter is generally effective for cutting smaller PVC pipes up to 1.5-2 inches, providing clean, straight cuts with less effort compared to using a saw. However, it may struggle with older or thicker-walled pipes, resulting in angled or uneven cuts. The quality and durability of the cutter itself have also been a concern, with some users reporting issues like the blade breaking or the cutter failing after limited use. Careful handling and pipe support are recommended for best results.

This cutter is very good but when you put a 2 inch sch 40 pvc pipe in it, it struggles to cut it even to the breaking point. It can cut 2 inch pvc however I highly recommend starting the cut with a thin blade saw at least through to the inside of the pipe. In doing so the pipe cutter does not struggle to get the job done.

Awesome Pipe Cutter!
Purchased this cutter after using it at the store to cut some long 1/2" PVC. it was so much easier to use than my cheaper pipe cutter and I am very glad that I purchased it.

drain installation made easy
This made fixing my friend's plumbing problem a whole lot easier, especially with poor access for a saw. I am thrilled I bought this and will be glad to have it when I plumb a wet bar in my dining room.

So much easier than a hacksaw!
This is a great all purpose pipe cutting tool. It is so much easier than using a hacksaw with much cleaner cuts to boot. This is the larger version which cuts the larger pipe. If I were plumbing all day every day and working with mostly smaller pipe I would purchase the smaller cutters too because they are lighter and fit your hand better. Great time saving tool.

Cuts with ease
Unlike some reviews here, I found that it cut thru 1.5" PVC very easily. Let the ratchet tool do the work. Only drawback is that the cut was not perfectly square but still usable. Maybe with some more practice and better pipe support that can be remedied. Still much better than sawing, only a few seconds to make the cut and no mess.
great pvc tool
I was having a tough time cutting all my pvc with a miter saw so I got this tool. It now takes seconds to make a cut. The tool is simple to use, my only wish is that they would put a little thumb catch on the blade release mechanism so I didn't have to take off my gloves to release the blade.

Works great
I do a lot of projects using PVC most not involving plumbing. These make the job so much easier and faster. I'm not sure how long the blade will last yet, but that could be the only downside. So far it's a great tool.
