What Customers Are Saying

Customers overwhelmingly praise this burlap product for protecting seedlings, preventing soil erosion on slopes, and shielding plants from frost and birds. Most highlight its ability to hold grass seed and topsoil in place while allowing water penetration, with reviewers calling it "the only way to go" for slope seeding. Many appreciate its flexibility and ease of cutting and installation. Some note the weave is thinner and more loosely woven than expected, with a few mentioning it sheds or has larger holes. Despite minor concerns about material quality, most customers find it highly effective and worthwhile.

Shade

Would Recommend

Currently using as shade protection as an alternative to deteriorating plastic shade cloth. I don't expect that it will hold up for long, but I'd rather not have those tiny pieces of plastic dropping on my produce. We'll see how it fairs.

Great Burlap

I used this burlap to brace my palm trees. I placed it under the wood I used to attach the braces to the trunk. Its purpose was to avoid any wood-on-wood contract and wood rotting and trunk staining to the tree trunk. Good quality burlap. Would purchase it again.

Erosion control and grass seed start

Working well to prevent erosion on a slope and covering grass seed. Grass is growing well through the burlap.

What is the actual length and width of this product? The listing has conflicting information (0.1 ft vs 3 ft, etc.)

Why does this smell like paint thinner? Was going to use this in a watering station for my honey bees but have to throw it in the garbage now. The smell is so strong I wouldn't put this iny vegetable garden.

Why does it smell like gasoline? Is it safe to use on vegetable beds?

Is this product coated or treated with any chemicals?
