The buds of Joseph's coat climbing rose start out red. Then, as they open, the blossoms change color, going from red to orange, then to yellow, crimson and gold and finally back to red. This delightful shifting of color plays out on blossoms that measure 3 in. to 4 in. across. Although Joseph's coat blooms most heavily in the spring, blooming repeats throughout the season until fall.
