NM-B cable may be run in air voids of masonry block or tile walls where such walls are not wet or damp locations.

The #6 50A 3NM wire was the perfect length for my Island Stove. I actually ran the wire thru PVC electric conduit, but, in the residential environment was not required. I think it looks better and mice don't chew on it!
