Southwire Digital Display Multimeter 10 Amp 600 -Volt

Failed in a few years

Powers up, will measure all "default" functions (e.g. VAC, Resistance, etc). However, after a few years, when you push the mode key (so you can switch from VAC to VDC for example) it no longer measures. Now I have half a meter. I used this thing maybe six times over a few years. Yes, I tried fresh batteries. Battery indicator on the device says battery is full. Disappointed, would not recommend.

Very reliable

I've been using Southwire meters for a few years now, and also use Fluke at work. I primarily use meters for automotive DC circuits, but occasionally in AC residential wiring. The only thing I would change in this meter is to make the voltage default to DC rather than AC, but that's a minor change.

Great Tool for the Price

This is the first multi-meter I have owned. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing, and I have not been disappointed. This multi-meter has a plethora of features that would normally require a more expensive product to get. The one feature I was looking for was the Low-Z feature to help identify ghost voltage. Great Multi-Meter at a good price.

Used it in the Field for the first time in time last week. Very well put together and worked perfectly. Made quick work of testing multiple heating circuits on a very large piece of Machinery. Would purchase again if needed.

Multimeter

My husband was so excited to get this. He needed to check the wires in our dogs kennel and didn’t have a way to. As soon as he opened it he checked the wires and it worked like a charm. I am so happy he has this. Now he has no excuses for faulty wiring...lol. Great product!

Journeyman Electrician Recommended

I’m 42 and started my electrical apprenticeship at 19. I’ve been using Fluke most of my career as it’s reliable and industry standard. But picked up the Southwire 13070T when I was in a pinch. I’m extremely impressed with this multimeter. It has all the functions and safety of a $140 fluke. Think I paid $70 or so with tax for this multimeter. Little use, but works as expected

I haven't used this much so far, but has worked as expected. I like the fact that it came with temperature probe.

Great value - slight learning curve

I shopped around and researched a bunch of digital multimeters for a while before selecting this Southwire. Granted, Flukes are the industry standard and the one the majority of professional probably use, but let's face it, for weekend warriors like me, this Southwire does more than enough.
