Great value tool for tracing wires in wall.
Works well within about 12", so you can trace wire behind drywall or below floor.

It's fantastic
I've been a field technician for over 5+ and this is my favourite tool to use, it never skips a beat! I never had to use any overpriced "fluke" probe and toners, I doubt I'm ever going to have to upgrade. It's an absolute steal. BUY IT!

I got it to work alright. While touching the 2 together it made almost 0 noise. 26 decibels is a whisper it says. But i wouldn't put it in that level.

SUPER QUIET.... AT TIMES
Sometimes, this thing is so quiet, you cant here the tone. Other times it works great. I should have went with the Fluke. Other Southwire products i have work pretty well, so this is disappointing.

I bought one for a side job and it works great!!
I bought one today for a side project installing security cameras and it works great! Was able to successfully trace out all my wires! The belt clip makes it super convenient to carry around! Also have a cable tester and love it! Love that a $50 product does the same thing as an $80 dollar Fluke Product! I want to get the 120AP tone and probe set next to work with my tester! What other tools can I add to my arsenal?!

you get what you pay for
I bought this 4 hours ago and will be returning it tomorrow. I needed to identify 4 out of 6 telephone lines at my house, the sensitivity was all over the place. Ended up just separating all the lines at the de-mark and homed out the jacks. Even after identifying the telephone lines, it still wasn't performing properly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Broken Out Of the Box
The product was broken out of the box. I was hoping my experience would be different than the other commenters here. I tested the batteries and they were good. I also tried with new batteries. I double checked the orientation of the batteries several times and neither part of the device turned on or showed any signs of life. Having to call customer support on day one is a bad start for a product that has a lifetime warranty.

Broke the first week I had it dissappointed
I purchased two of this tone and probe kit after the first one was stolen I purchased a replacement and in the first week the part that generate the tone stopped working completely tried new batteries still it would not turn on and make a tone the wand part worked fine.
