Works well for a novice

My office’s fluorescent ballasts needed to be changed out. If you’ve ever done that, you know there are a million tiny wires to strip (not really a million, but a lot). These made the job much easier than trying to score the sheathing then pull it off. Saved me a lot of time and aggravation.

Wire cutter higher quality

I've always wanted a pair of these wire cutters, but i just never bought one. I looked at Harbor Freight, but the ones a Lowes were definitely of higher quality metal. I used them soon after I bought them and they really made splicing wires so much easier than peeling covering with a knife. Definitely worth the purchase.

Does the job

I bought these after having to strip four wires with a knife and realizing I had a lot more to go. They were the most economic (i.e. cheap) wire strippers that Lowes had and they do the job just fine. I wouldn't recommend them for an electrician's duty belt, but for the standard at-home handyman, these are perfect.

Southwire compact wire/Cutter/Stripper

I am 71 years old and have spent 43 years in aviation between 20 years in the US Airforce and the remaining time as an A&P Aircraft mechanic. Also I have been working on automobiles since I was 17 years old. I have to say these are the best wire strippers I have ever owned. I wish I would have found them sooner. And I would like to say thanks Lowe’s for all that you do for us Veterans.

This is the perfect size cutter/stripper

This is the perfect size cutter/stripper for any handyman or "do-it-your-selfer" when making repairs around the home. They are sharpe and compact allowing you to work with ease while perched atop a ladder. I have the habit of sticking tools in my back pocket so that I can easily retrieve the tools needed to complete a job.

Great for home owner

This wire stripper was perfect for most jobs. Has a lock clip which is very nice, as it stores much easier. Stays in my RV and it is like Lon Chaney sitting at the bar drinking a Pina Colada and his hair is PERFECT!!
