Waited 25 minutes for someone to come cut wire, 3 people said they were gettin someone and no one showed up, hit the button like 3 times no one showed up, went to customer service and waited for 10 minutes after waiting 25 in the aisle just to get someone to cut wire. 10 minute Lowe’s trip turned into 45

Getting a cut length from the spool inventory. was more cost effective than purchasing a packaged length. It was also easier to work with and good quality

Inexpensive Alternative to NM Wire

This is a lot less expensive than NM wire of the same size, and it can generally be used in the same way. It's more work to terminate, but only takes a few minutes. I lightly score the insulation then use the conductors like a zipper to separate the outer insulation. This particular UF wire is narrower than the last one I bought, which makes it easier to fish through walls and get into device boxes. Only problem is the title online says 4ft for some reason, but it's sold by the foot.

Good outdoor-rated 6 AWG 2+1 wire cable.

Each current-carrying wire is a 7-strand wire, which is normal for 6 AWG and thicker sizes - the total cross-section meets the NEC. Ground wire is thinner and a single solid strand. It's easy enough to pull through the cable through a 3/4 in hole, but for conduit with bends, 3/4 in would not be enough. This is a heavy wire that is not commonly used in household applications, consequently even if the Lowes website says it's in stock, they may not have it ready to cut in the electrical section, or...

Didn't buy enough from an online wire company so had to buy 7 foot more, it worked and got the tank-less water heater working great.

Met or exceeded all expectations.

This wire turned out to be exactly what I needed to move my electrons from point A to point B, and it did so flawlessly. Resistance was within specification. I was even able to go a little over the recommended operating current and did not have any issues. Highly recommended for anyone who needs 6 AWG wire.

great product. i did have to spend an extra 80$ for delivery because the store was all out. went from tank to tankless hot water heater. ill save that money in electric cost in about 6months.

NOT AS ADVERTISED !

I wanted SOLID 6/2 but every site I went to, it was STRANDED. Lowes says their 6/2 is SOLID, the graphic shows it as solid, the ad says it is solid; IT IS NOT !! Each conductor is made up of 7 strands of 12 gauge wire. I even chatted with Nelly T. before the purchase to confirm it was indeed SOLID.
