This unit has never beeped. Can't find anything in the sparse paperwork.

I’ve had other sensors before that could actually trace a wall. This one didn’t even work on a live outlet! See video

Most durable
I have tried many of these by Commercial, Ideal, Klein and Fluke. This is the most durable. I bought this as backup for when I lose mine. Mine I've had for over two years, in my pocket every day, and it works well. It has survived 6' drops too.
