The LA300 chewed up the electrical cord during its first use. It was damaged in 3 places; I had to use black electrical tape to protect the cord. This model LA300 says it has a 5-year warranty. a year and a half later the hose breaks. Shark says that part is not under warranty. To replace that part is 75.00 dollars.

Does not last long

It worked well in the beginning, but it only lasted for 10 months now it will come on but won't stay on. Also no longer sucks the dirt into the dust collector. It sucks up but the dirt is remaining in the bottom and does not come up to the dirt collector which is why I think it shuts off after a few minutes. I have cleaned and replaced the filter and still does not work. I am disappointed in Shark. Now I have to pay another few hundred dollars for a new vacuum after only 10 months

High-pitched noisy

Very noisy (high pitched whine). Main joint feels flimsy. Not confident that it will stand up a dorm room.
