I needed a new spreader and this one is great

Don’t waste your money

You have to put a lot of pressure for the weed and feed to dispense. It’s very hard to use and doesn’t dispense evenly at all. It’s better to spread by hand.

This is okay - if you don't use anything heavy

this is a great design, and it does it's job well, but it uses the WRONG materials. The plastic teeth that connect the right wheel to the shaft wear out and then it won't turn the spreader plate making it useless. The entire rest of the product is fine, but the WORKING part breaks. Along with that ,the two legs that hold the wheel shaft can't handle the weight of heavier items like fertilizer if you fill up the hopper. 46 lb capacity is a JOKE. Drive wheel failed after 4 uses.

I used this spreader for lime, seed, and fertilizer. The drive wheel splines (plastic, of course) failed rendering the spreader useless. This is the 2nd DLX I've bought -- the first I returned to lowe's after it failed the first time I used it. These spreaders are junk.

Poor Dispenser

From day 1, this spreader under dispensed. I would finish my lawn and noticed more than half full. I did it again and still had a little product left. I did it a third time. I checked everything. Called Scotts, found that factory setting on 5 allows a 1/4 inch drill bit in opening. I noticed the wheels/axle were stiff to move. I wash and rinsed the unit. WD40’d everything. Works pretty well. Just make sure your seed is not clumped up, because the spreader will jam
