Motor burned out

Had this unit for less than 3 years and used on a small yard once a year. Over that period of time the motor got weaker and weaker until it won’t run anymore. Not recommended

broke just past one year

it's a powerful edger. However, the handle doesn't extend out much. I'm 6' and was bent, uncomfortable to use it, but I did twice a month for about 8 months. I needed to change the worn-out blade. The nut was difficult to get loose. As I'm edging, i noticed the housing for the handle where it connects to the edger had cracked, and the front 2 screws had pulled out. hahaha, I wrapped duct tape around it and finished my yard. I won't buy another one.

Needs Sidewalk Guide

Very powerful. My old edger died after 30 years. Main issue is there is no physical guide for sidewalks like I had with my old edger. And if I find there is only one source for the blades like another post said, and it is expensive, I will return it. BTW, this unit wad $18 cheaper at HD, but I was out of town for a week and it went OOS while I was gone.
