Don't Buy This

I bought this in hopes I wouldn't have to lug around those heavy salt bags every month. I called the ScaleBlaster about the unit operating with my current reverse osmosis system and was told to disconnect my system first which meant having a plumber come in to cut out the connection. I installed this with care with no spaces in the coiled wire, but it never made a bit of difference. Removal of hardwater scales

Product came in earlier than expected.

Outstanding

Installation was a breeze but helps to have 2 people to wrap and keep the strands from tangling. I noticed a difference in the water quality right away as the water felt softer. As far as the build up of solids on my faucets etc., it seems to be doing it's job as I do not get hard water spots. There is still some calcium on the faucets as is expected but that is very manageable.

Scientifically and Empirically Does not Work

I was the engineering manager for seven years for one of the top filtration brands in the nation. I can assure you this product does not work at all. We looked at it from a scientific standpoint and there's no reason it would work , but just to be sure we bought several and put them on scientifically sound tests and it did nothing. Waste of $$$

Poor quality. unit functioned for about 1 week then stopped working Customer service was horrible. Save your money time and aggravation and purchase another brand. I am going to try scale watcher and will update

Still Not Sure

We are now on our second device. The first device stopped working after 6 months. It appeared the first one made a difference on opening up shower heads. The dishwasher appeared to work better. However, calcium is still building up on heating element inside dishwasher. This device does not soften water. However, I thought is not supposed to allow calcium build up.

money wated

had unit installed for over a month, and there is no indication of any reduction in hardness. in one month, our black sink is turning white, and shower heads are clogging. don't waste your money.
